These changes are permanent upgrades to our core offerings, and not just temporary promotional changes. Our Essentials plan, at its already aggressive entry point of only $10 per month, has long represented one of the most affordable ways to access reliable 5G service. Going into 2026, we have increased the plan’s high-speed 5G data from 1GB to 3GB each month, while keeping the price at $10.
3GB of 5G data provides substantial flexibility for customers who primarily use WiFi and depend on mobile data for maps, email, messaging, and everyday connectivity. The plan continues to include unlimited talk and text, international calling, and roaming in 60+ countries, along with the ability to select service on any major 5G network in the United States.

The Plus plan delivers even more capability for customers who consistently use mobile data for streaming, navigation, remote work, and regular online activity. We have expanded its high-speed 5G data allotment from 10GB to 20GB each month, at the same reliable price of $20.
This upgrade ensures that the Plus plan remains one of the strongest mid-tier wireless options available. It includes unlimited talk and text, international long-distance calling, roaming in 60+ countries, and access to any major 5G network.
Customers can experience the upgraded Plus plan for as low as $10 during our Black Friday sales period.
Our Premium plan is designed for customers who rely heavily on mobile connectivity and expect consistent performance throughout the month. It continues to include 50GB of high-speed 5G data, but the experience after those 50GB are used is what sets it apart.
On the GSMA network, customers now receive throttled speeds up to 150 Mbps (faster than a lot of home wifi!) after using their 5G data. These speeds allow for continued HD streaming, smooth navigation, and the uninterrupted use of data-intensive applications like streaming your favorite shows on Netflix or playing your favorite games. These speeds offer a level of post-cap performance that effectively creates a truly unlimited experience for the entire billing cycle.
On GSMT and CDMA networks, throttled speeds have been increased to 1 Mbps, which is still sufficient for essential browsing and everyday communication (and double the old speeds of 512 Kbps).
The Premium plan also includes 10GB of dedicated 5G mobile hotspot data and roaming in 60+ countries at no additional cost!

We have chosen to discontinue the $40 plan to better serve our customers. After careful review, we recognized that this plan was underutilized, and many of its bundled add-ons were not delivering meaningful value to most users. In keeping with our commitment to transparency, we want to be clear about why this decision was made.
Customers were paying for features they often did not use, and that does not align with our mission to provide straightforward, purpose-built wireless service at the right price. By removing the $40 plan, we can focus on strengthening the options that customers rely on most. Add-ons, including options such as an Apple Watch line, remain available individually for those who want them, but are no longer embedded in a plan that many customers found confusing or unnecessary.
Streamlining our lineup makes our offerings easier to understand, easier to choose from, and easier for customers to tailor to their needs.
All “legacy” plans will remain accessible to current customers, and customers on the $40 plan will not be automatically migrated; if you like your current plan, no need to upgrade or change!
